Female porn star of the year,
Aurora Snow, has been called "sweet", "intelligent",
"beautiful", "insightful", and "insatiable". Recently we were given
the opportunity to spend some time with her and now simply refer to
her as "everything that is right with the industry".
We first met Aurora Snow while she was signing autographs and
mingling with fans at Pleasures Adult Book Store in Denver, CO. With
her was her fiance Jay Ashley who also was as nice and gracious as
he could be. After meeting them, we're no longer surprised that
their relationship has lasted four years and is still going strong.
Megan: Well, to get started, I'd like to know where you are in this
industry. Are you still having fun with it?
Aurora Snow: Yeah, I still like it. Actually, I've moved on… I'm
directing now and my first one is
Assploitations
in the Mayhem line. I have
Assploitations 2 out now as well. I've also done
Perverted Tales... it's actually my favorite. It has more
fairy tale kind of stuff and I had a great time doing it. I direct
about a movie a month.
Michael: What style are you directing?
Aurora Snow: Mostly very hardcore. They're all anal, sometimes
double anal.
Megan: We noticed that you didn't do anal when you began.
Aurora Snow: I thought I'd never do it. The first year I kept saying
never. In all the interviews that are on tape I say never. And then
my boyfriend talked me into it and Anabolic wanted me to do anal so
bad that they sent me to a hypnotist.
Megan: And you went? Did it work?
Aurora: No, it didn't work, but it's the fact that they wanted me to
do it that bad. So I tried it. And the first time really hurt... bad.
Megan: Yeah, I understand that. (Michael looks smug)
Aurora Snow: But I tried it a few more times and eventually you
relax and it's actually fun. You have to get past the first few
times. .
Michael: Well a lot of future porn stars say that when they get into
the industry. A year is a long time to wait before doing anal in a
scene.
Aurora Snow: It is. I said things would never go in there.
Megan: Exit only is what I used to say.
Aurora Snow: And you know, anytime you say "never" it always ends up
happening. So now I say "almost never."
Megan: So, you got away with doing gang bangs without giving up anal.
Aurora Snow: Yeah and that was really cool. Anabolic doesn't
normally do that. But it was great; I was the center of attention
with all these people around me. I had a great time.
Megan: Yeah, the more the better. (Giggling) Are you under contract
right now?
Aurora Snow: I am. I'm exclusive with Sin City at www.SinCity.com as
a performer and director. I also work for two TV shows. One is
"Private Calls". It's a 30 minute show and guys call in and have sex
with me or one of the three girls I have LIVE on TV on the Playboy
channel. And the other show is similar, but it's on www.SpiceLive.com
and it's called "Spice Clips". It's an hour and a half show and it's
fun too.
Megan: So you must really like phone sex, huh?
Aurora Snow: Well, yeah, I had thought I sucked at it, and then I
got the job and said, "Oh my god, now I have to all of a sudden
learn how to talk dirty". But it's really cool and I have fun with
it.
Megan: Oh yeah, I'm sure that there are plenty of perversions out
there. And your website, do you have that up and going now?

Megan: So, what do you do for fans on your website?
Aurora Snow: I have a lot things on my site like pictures, live
video, and all the good hardcore stuff. There's a bunch of stuff
with other girls and me.
Megan: Do you have a lot of girl/boy stuff also?
Aurora Snow: Yeah, a lot of that, both hardcore and softcore. I also
have a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff like funny pictures that you
wouldn't normally see. There's a ton of that kind of stuff. It's
very personalized. You really get a sense of the kind of fun we're
having. There's even stuff like videos of me putting on makeup
before a scene.
Michael: That's perfect for us because we always watch
behind-the-scenes before a movie. It's sexier for us if we get to
know a little bit about the people first.

Megan: That's true, it makes it a lot more interesting too. Aurora,
your first scene ever was with Ed Powers, right?
Aurora Snow: Yeah, it was
More Dirty Debutantes 152 (with Aurora Snow). I was
really nervous and he was really nice to me. He's actually a great
person for a girl's first scene. He makes the girl feel really
comfortable and understands that it's your first time. He really is
a likable guy.
Megan: That's great. He seems really nice.
Michael: Who else do you like to work with?
Aurora Snow: My favorite person to work with is my fiance, Jay.
Michael & Megan: Fiance?
Michael: How long have you been with Jay? 3 years?
Aurora Snow: It's been 4 years that we've been together. We just
like to be around each other all the time. He goes with me
everywhere while I work.
Megan: You do girl/girl scenes now, but you didn't do them at first,
right?
Aurora Snow: Well, I did girl/girl stuff for Ed Powers, but the girl
hated it so much that it was just awful. So, it wasn't my thing for
a while. But then later I did girl/girl stuff by myself and it was
fun. I did
