#1 is a completely unique concept in adult films and the response has been overwhelming. Please explain what it is.
Cousin Stevie: Growing up, I'd listen to my sister with her sorority party friends and learned that girls are worse than we boys could ever be. So I thought let's have an adult sorority party with numerous girls in a party environment. Added to that, I would run it as a competition. The result was a wild sex orgy contest with women and a panel of judges deciding who was the best. That's what turns my boat. I'd rather watch women get crazy together almost more than having sex myself—let me stress the word "almost."
Scott: How did you come up with the idea for the series?
Cousin Stevie:
Seymore Butts helped me a lot. I was kicking around a couple of ideas. I like Seymore's point-of-view films, but since I won't perform in the movies because I'm married, the next best thing was to go all girls. Seymore also helped come up with the bonus concept of these films. The girls were having a good time. It's a party and the girls know the winner gets a bonus, but they're also just having fun. They get judged on real orgasms and if they fake it, they better be really good at making them believable. They can't go on 20 minutes just moaning for a long time. Because they are allowed to do only what they want, they have real gushing orgasms. The girls are just having a party. Other women enjoy seeing what other women do.  Scott: The girls all have to go through an interview process and you have to see something in them before you invite them to be on the show. What are you looking for? How much direction do you give the girls?
Cousin Stevie: I interview each of the girls and explain the concept of the movie and ask if they're willing to do it. I tell them what I expect: for them to have fun with the other girls and the best girl to the judges wins a big bonus. I don't tell them specifically what to do, but they are judged, as you know, by certain criteria like how many girls they play with, how many orgasms they have, etc. How would you like to go to work and find it's just a party where you can have fun, and the best judged girl wins a big prize?
Scott: That's a great job. Plus, I noticed that the girls who didn't win in Pussy Party 1 and
Pussy Party 2 weren't upset about it,
they were ok wtih the results.
Cousin Stevie: They still got paid. One just gets something extra for the extra effort and performance.
Scott: I wanted to ask about a few girls in particular. First is one of our favorites,
Flower. She appeared in Pussy Party 2 and was super sexy. How did you come to know her?
Cousin Stevie: If you saw the television series The Family Business, I'm the one who discovered Flower. We needed a squirter for the show, so I searched clubs and found Flower dancing at one of the clubs. Now we're good friends. Seymore said to have someone in each film that I was familiar with and Flower was this person in Pussy Party 2 to give me moral support.
Mari Possa was this girl in Pussy Party 1 and I asked Flower to be there again for Pussy Party 3 for that support.
Scott: We heard that you are auctioning off a spot to become a judge of an upcoming movie. Is
this true? I mean having the opportunity to be a judge at an all girl orgy is
something that not many people can say they did.
Cousin Stevie: I'm just about to have people start bidding on it now.
The most important thing though is that I want people to judge fairly. If I wasn't just directing, I'd be in a cold sweat, a hot sweat ... or some kind of sweat.
Scott: We'll keep everyone posted on this. Back to the video: We've seen a hundred behind-the-scenes segments in the DVD extras, and when the director says cut, the action typically stops. But we were on the set and saw first-hand that this was not the case. When you said "Cut!" the reply was "Not yet!" There's something to be said for that.
 Cousin Stevie: Yeah, we took one little break and one girl didn't stop eating another girl's pussy. You were there. I used 8 girls for Pussy Party 1, 9 girls for #2, and 8 girls for #3. I'll use 8 or 9 in the fourth video too. Lots of girls are exciting for the audience and judges to see. I include the interviews so that people can get to know the girls and their personalities also. Even though I interview the girls, I also try to guess at who will win and who will get the least amount of points from the judges. You can tell when someone falls way behind the pack. It's funny, but in each film there's always one girl who really falls behind and gets very few points relative to the other girls.
Scott: It actually makes it sexier that there is that one girl because you know that it's real and that they're not being directed.
Cousin Stevie: True, Scott, but it's funny when a girl doesn't relate to the others. The one thing consistent in each Pussy Party is that the first and second place where always within a few points of each other.
Scott: Did you correctly guess who the winners the judges would choose?
Cousin Stevie: It's a matter of taste and personality. I haven't always chosen the winners to be first, but being on the set it's hard to not get overwhelmed by it. And you know I'm crazy about Mari Possa and wanted her to win and that's why I don't vote. It's impartial and up to the five judges.
Scott: Ok, so back to some background on you. You've been around a long time. Can you give us some perspective on the industry from back when you started until now?
Cousin Stevie: To watch blue movies, we would have to steal the
school projector. They'd hide the reel and we'd have to stick a pencil in the
reel, with guys standing everywhere to get the film going. These were black and
white films with people who were not good looking in them. We could hardly watch
because there were so many guys trying to keep it going. I also remember the
beginning of VHS or Beta and certainly movies have changed ... just like when
Playboy first started, you didn't see shaved vaginas. Now all you see is shaved
vaginas. In the early days of Beta, they were all just converting movies. Then
everything was shot on video. Now it's all done on digital. You need a different
kind of crew because you don't have to worry about lighting and movement as
much. In the first films you didn't see hardly any anal or squirting, and it was
almost always just one-on-one type of sex then. But now, there's squirting,
anal, and all-girl orgies. Now you can make a lot more money.
Scott: Even with the increased competition out there?
Cousin Stevie: Good adult movies are just like good mainstream movies. You seek a level of success by the quality of the movie. And you also need distribution. I was lucky that PurePlay saw the potential of giving me a shot.

The Family Business. Want to tell us a bit about the show?
Cousin Stevie: Sure, it's about a family that's in business together. Seymore Butts, his mom, and I are in the family. We all work for Seymore in the family business. It just so happens that the business is making adult movies. It's a reality show because this is who we really are. I'll tell you a short story about the first season of the show. I once was filmed telling Adam I was stuck in traffic, but I was actually in the middle of getting a lap dance. Now every time I say I'm on traffic he asks me to put my phone out of the window so he can hear the traffic. We show the world that people in the adult film business are real people with personalities too. We're not just junkies or freaks. Our program tries to enlighten the public about what the adult industry is about.
Scott: Have you seen the industry change in the last few years?
 Cousin Stevie: Yeah, it's a big industry. You're talking about 25 billion dollars a year. It's become more professional, ethical, and more of a straight business. It's a lot more fun for me than other businesses. It's not everybody's cup of tea, but it is fun for me.
Scott: We've been trying to figure something out and wonder if you might have an answer. It seems that the average person spends 10 hours a week commuting to a 40 hour a week job they don't like and spend all day sitting in a cubicle hoping their asshole boss won't need to speak with them. Needless to say, they typically feel underpaid and under-appreciated. So why is it that these same people so often look down their nose at those who are paid to have sex with good-looking people who happen to be good at sex?
Cousin Stevie: Public television is afraid of showing a woman's breast or vagina. They have no problem showing someone getting their head blown off. I've never seen anyone die having sex. It just blows my mind why a lot of the vocal groups allow murderous shows to be filmed, but not a breast. I also don't understand how Howard Stern got fined for making jokes and making people laugh. If people take Howard seriously, give me a break ... he's a brilliant guy. He brought back talk radio to a lot of people—not just his type of people, but the public would listen to his talk radio.
I don't know when it became the government's responsibility to raise children. My grandchildren know that I'm in the adult industry and they know they can't watch it until they're old enough. Why this country is afraid of sex is beyond me.
Scott: Recently there was big news about the HIV outbreak in the industry. Of course most of the mainstream publicity portrayed it in an incredibly bad light. Not that there is anything positive about someone contracting this horrible disease, but what's largely under-reported is how many people don't catch the disease and how good of a job the industry really has done
policing itself. For example, there hadn't been a case of someone catching the HIV virus in six years, which means that 140,000 scenes were shot safely before this recent incident. That really speaks well for the industry.
Cousin Stevie: We do our best to police ourselves and test for STDs and HIV. AIDS is the worst because it kills you. We test ourselves. Girls and guys must come to sets with the test results. This guy made a mistake having unprotected sex in Brazil and would admit it I'm sure. The incidence of AIDS in this business is minute compared to the percentage of AIDS in the world. The good people in this business just care about the people that they employ or work with. There are some companies that are bad in any business, but most care.
Scott: Back to the fun stuff. One of the most prolific reviewers of adult films, Don Houston, reviewed Pussy Party 1 and said it was "easily worth a 'highly recommended' (top rating) from me. The combination of sexual heat and energy, with a solid cast of talented hotties, made Cousin Stevie's Pussy Party Vol. One worth searching out ... I can honestly say that this was the best lesbian release I've seen in a long, long time." He's reviewed like 1,000 movies. This has to make you feel good.
Cousin Stevie: I got to tell you I was flattered because I've seen his reviews. But you have to remember, I was with one of the best directors in the field for his entire career. I owe a lot of my knowledge to Seymore Butts because I saw how he directed and what worked and changed during his career.
